  • UWF Department of Art students continued the process of the public sculptures project for the Pensacola campus as part of an advanced sculpture class on Thursday, April 11, 2019. The fabrication process began on Tuesday, April 2, in the wood shop at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts, Building 82. The sculptures were requested and approved by President Saunders and her Cabinet. The completed works will live on the Pensacola campus for approximately one year.

First date tells the story of a blind date of two opposites who attract, but only after riding the rollercoaster of social stigmas, family expectations and deciding who will pay the check in today's dating world.

  • Outdoor Adventures along with UWF Student Organization THINC hosted the Argo  Disc Golf Tournament as well as a food drive to benefit the Argo Pantry on Saturday, March 30, 2019. Participants of the tournament, along with UWF students and student or staff groups, were encouraged to make donations to the Argo Panty in addition to competing in the tournament.

  • Teams of students and fac/staff participated in the Cardboard Boat Race, part of the Homecoming Golden Fleece Challenge, on Oct. 2, 2019, in the UWF Aquatic Center. Participants created boats made out of only cardboard and duct tape. Captains paddled their boats across the pool in hopes of being the fastest Argo in the water — or at least in hopes of not sinking!

  • UWF students soaked up the sun during Beach Bash on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, before the Fall 2019 semester began. Beach Bash is a beach party tradition like no other! Students enjoyed DJ music, kayaking, beach volleyball, Zumba, spikeball, cornhole, archery tag, a tug of war contest, a custom UWF sand sculpture, plus food from Firehouse Subs and a chance to win an EPIC prize.
