  • The No. 1 ranked West Florida football team returned to Blue Wahoos Stadium for the first time since Nov. 2019 to take on West Georgia for the annual Homecoming game. Despite a record crowd, the Argos could not summon a win and fell to the Wolves 26-30, ending UWF's 10-game winning streak dating back to 2019.

  • The No. 1-seed UWF Baseball team faced off against 4-seed Valdosta State for the Gulf South Conference Championship on May 9, 2023 at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, AL.<br />
<br />
In a rollercoaster of a game, the Argos found victory in extra innings, outlasting the Blazers 10-8 to secure the program's third conference championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

  • The No. 1 ranked West Florida football team traveled to the Lone Star State in a week three contest against Texas A&M-Commerce, a rematch of the 2017 Division II National Championship. The Argos tamed the Lions this time around, winning 35-17 and reached a 3-0 record for the first time in program history.

Very much like thier first matchup with MC four weeks prior, UWF dominated from start to finish. The Argos set a record for least amount of plays on offense and found the endzone on their first 8 drives of the game to rack up a 56-21 win over the Choctaws.<br />
<br />
The win gave the Argos a 9-1 regular season record and solidified their stake in the 2022 NCAA Division II Playoffs, their fourth appearance in six years of existence.

The annual matchup between the Argos and the Warhawks by the bay ended up as a thriller, with the Argos staging a late comeback to win 5-4 in 10 innings.

  • The No. 1 ranked West Florida football team travelled to Delta State to begin their slate of Gulf South Conference play in Cleveland, Mississippi on Oct. 2, 2021. Finding themselves down 10-30 at halftime, the Argos summoned the largest comback in program history, edging out the Statesmen 39-33 to stay undefeated.

Despite the Game 1 loss on Friday, the Argos were able to put together strong hitting and pitching performances to sweep the Hawks on the Saturday doubleheader and win the series to improve to 7-5 on the 2022 season.
